Hello, My Name is Arif Ali. I am a Filmmaker, Screenwriter, Music Producer and Editor from Leicester, England. I became interested in filmmaking ever since I was 10. I tried doing comic book making because it was just as much of a visual media as film, as well as being able to pursue big ideas without collaboration. At the age of 14, I decided to start my filmmaking pathway by doing a Film & TV A level where I was able to get his script turned into a short film called ‘Pick Your Poison’. After making this, I realised I didn’t just want to make films that have a big scope but also create small human stories because it would relate to all the feelings I had around that time, like fitting in, adolescence and POC stories that focus on their joy and less on their pain. I'm currently developing my skills further through my BA in Film Production at Coventry University
